required ubuntu packages
sudo apt-get install g++ curl libssl-dev apache2-utils
cd into node directory package
wget http://nodejs.org/dist/node-v0.4.6.tar.gz
tar -xzvf node-v0.4.6.tar.gz
cd node-v0.4.6.tar.gz
./configure
make
sudo...
